CHARLTON BROWN’s Diploma of Community Welfare Work is ideal for students wishing to be involved in the administration and organisational side of the welfare industry. Workers can be involved in a variety of areas including service delivery, direct client work, health promotion and community development projects.
CHARLTON BROWN students are placed in work-based placement as a major part of the course. Through this practical placement they have hands-on interaction with people and learn the role of a welfare officer and how to work as part of a team and working with clients of varying needs.
Subjects in the course teach skills including:
- Manage the organisation’s finances, accounts and resources;
- Meet statutory and organisational information requirements;
- Undertake research activities;
